“I have used databases before but this presents the information

in a much more user-friendly format.”

Based in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, Circulating Pumps Ltd manufactures domestic circulator pumps, light commercial pumps, shower pumps and aquatic submersible pumps.

Sally Wright is the company’s Marketing Manager and she explains why they needed Customer Relationship Management software. “Our largest customer - a Plumbing Merchant with over 500 branches wanted us to be more proactive at branch level. We aren’t ourselves large enough to employ merchandising staff, but this is one of our key accounts in the UK, so naturally we were keen to accommodate them.”

Roy Gough of Alloy CRM solved their problem.

“After consultation we chose Goldmine to handle the job for us,” explains Sally. “We receive information from our customer monthly, and using the program we can manipulate the data to see what is happening at their individual branches and run various reports based on certain agreed criteria. Then we have the information to take whatever action is necessary.

We have been using Goldmine for about three months now and in some ways are still learning as we go along. It’s user friendly and is certainly doing the job for us. If I need advice I can call Roy Gough, and if he can’t answer immediately he gets straight back to us.

We import the data into Goldmine using Goldbox which is a link to Goldmine - the tool used to import external data. Which means that we don’t have to key everything in manually, which is good because we receive at least a thousand lines of information from our customer’s Head Office. Goldbox imports the data into specified fields within Goldmine.”

As a piece of Customer Relationship Management software, Sally considers Goldmine to be an excellent tool. “I have used databases before,” she said, “but this presents the information in a much more user-friendly format.”
